Our Twitter Hash Tag: What Is It and How Do You Use It?
While I am no tweeting guru, I do know that when you see something in a tweet that has a # prefix (The # is a hash symbol, hence the term hash tag), enabling tweets to be organized by a common topic or interest group. For example, if you search on Twitter for #KFMadridConf you’ll see a list of tweets from a community of people interested what's going on at the Leadership Transformation Conference in Madrid.
Whether you're attending the Conference or not, search for our hash tag (#KFMadridConf) and engage with the twitter updates about what’s happening in Madrid real time. Tweet away – and be sure to include our hash tag. It’s pretty cool, and if I can do it anybody can (seriously).
Whatever your experience with Twitter, we’d love you all to join in the discussion with tweets/re tweets of your own, but remember the tag itself will use up some of your 140-character limit, so the goal is to be tight and precise with your POV (the italicized example is 50 characters with spaces btw). This can be extremely hard to do, especially if you have a lot of things to say, and we are after all, talking about LEADERSHIP -- geesh!
Now, please search on #KFMadridConf, and join in the conversation: albeit a tight and precise conversation. J
